Requirements: Installed Solar System of at least 4 kW DC and less than 40 kW AC
Incentive: One Time payment of $500

The Rochester Public Utilities SolarSense Solar Rebate Program provides a pool of incentives for Rochester Public Utilities customers installing residential solar panels or small commercial solar installations.

The solar power incentive is linked to the amount of solar energy produced over 10 years by the solar panel installation, so the more you produce, the more rebate you receive.

This SolarSense Solar Rebate Program incentive is designed to spur more Rochester Public Utilities customers to install solar panel arrays on their homes.

It is independent of ‘net metering,’ in which excess electricity generated by a home’s solar panel array is fed back into the grid and is purchased by Rochester Public Utilities.

The Conserve and Save Program is available to anyone who installs a solar system of at least 2 kW DC and less than 40 kW AC in the Rochester Public Utilities service area. 

The incentive amount is a one-time payment of $500, which will be received upon completion of the solar system and submission of an application. We can help you with the application process.
